    The Seniors Card program acknowledges and celebrates the contribution seniors have made and continue to make to our communities and the State of Victoria. The purpose of the program is to encourage older people to keep active and engaged in the community, by providing incentives and making it more affordable to get out and about. The Seniors Card program is free, and there are no application charges associated with the card.

  • Yes! The Seniors Card is free.

    The Seniors Card is free for all eligible Victorians who are aged over 60, years of age, a permanent resident of Australia, residing in Victoria.

  • There are three ways to replace lost or stolen myki cards:

    1. In person at a PTV hubExternal Link , or a premium metropolitan station or staffed V/Line stationExternal Link inside the myki boundary.

    2. Online at Public Transport Victoria websiteExternal Link .

    3. By phoning 1800 800 007.

    Sorry, the Seniors Card program cannot replace lost myki cards.

    As soon as you receive your seniors myki you should register it. There are many benefits to registering your myki, including free card replacement card if it's lost or stolen. For more information on how to register, visit the Public Transport Victoria websiteExternal Link .

  • The Seniors Business Discount Card is available to Australian residents aged 60 years and over who permanently reside in Victoria, and work 35 hours or more per week. The Seniors Business Discount Card is free of charge.

    Seniors Business Discount Card holders can access discounts from thousands of participating businesses across Victoria. Most businesses offer a minimum of 10% discount on goods or services. The Seniors Business Discount Card does not provide public transport concessions. There are no application fees associated with this card when applying through our Online form.

  • To be eligible for a Seniors Card or a Seniors Business Discount Card you must be 60 years of age, and meet the eligibility criteria.

    This card is free. There are no costs associated with applying for this card.

    The Victorian Seniors Card Program is not affiliated with any other private member organisations.

  • No.

    If you are an existing Seniors Card holder you do not need to apply for the Seniors Business Discount Card. You already enjoy access to the full range of Seniors Card benefits.

  • You can apply for your Seniors Card simply by visiting the Apply for a card page. Make sure you have your green Medicare Card handy to complete your application.

    The Victorian Seniors Card program is not intended as an income supplement or support scheme and does not provide assistance with prescriptions, land and water rates, utility bills, or vehicle registration.

    A range of concessions are available to all Victorians who are on low incomes or experiencing hardship and need help meeting the cost of living. Visit Seniors online to find out more.

  • All Seniors Card special offers are sent out with the Seniors Card logo displayed on the envelope, and come with a flyer inside, entitled: "Important privacy information". The Seniors Card program complies with Victoria’s Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and does not provide your personal information to businesses.

    Please note that the Seniors Card program does not endorse or guarantee the quality or suitability of any goods or services offered by participating businesses.

  • No. A Seniors myki can only be used with a Victorian Seniors Card.

    If you use a Seniors myki to travel on public transport without a valid Seniors Card you may be liable for a fine of $277.

  • From 2020, the free off-peak travel vouchers are distributed annually by Public Transport Victoria.

    Seniors Business Discount Card holders are not eligible to receive free off-peak travel vouchers.

    • You're eligible for annual free travel vouchers if you're a Victorian resident and a Victorian Seniors Card holder.
    • Each travel voucher can be redeemed for:
      • one Zone 1 + 2 daily ticket (for travel in metropolitan Melbourne)
      • one Off-Peak return ticket (for travel in regional Victoria)

    Depending on where you live, you're eligible for two or four off-peak free travel vouchers every year.
