Senior Victorians Advisory Committee

The Senior Victorians Advisory Committee will provide advice on the needs and rights of older Victorians.

The Minister for Ageing is creating a new advisory committee for older Victorians to share their insights and lived experiences with government. People 60 years and over, and First Nations people 50 years and over, can apply to join the Senior Victorians Advisory Committee.

This diverse group of Victorians will provide a voice to the government on the lived experiences of older Victorians. They will inform related government priorities and programs, including the implementation of the Ageing Well Action PlanExternal Link .

The Committee will have a Chairperson, up to eight community members and up to four sector members to ensure a wide range of experiences.

Committee members will have the opportunity to

  • share their perspectives
  • raise awareness around the positive ways older Victorians
  • contribute to our state, and
  • promote rights and respect for older people.
